Now is the time to invest in Brazilian property, according to Will Landers of the renowned BlackRock Latin American Investment Trust.
According to a glowing report in Investors Chronicle, Landers singled out investing in booming Brazil, claiming: “we remain very positive in our outlook for the country” due to Brazil’s rapidly-growing middle class pushing growth, which hit a sizzling 7.5% in 2010 and shows no signs of slowing down.
As Landers noted, the middle classes Brazil are focusing on property investments, a global insignia of wealth. With a housing deficit estimated at 7 million, but 9 million Brazilian families determined to buy a house this year alone, Brazilian property promises a strong investment. Little wonder that one of BlackRock’s top holdings is house-builder Cyrela Brazil Realty.
The upcoming World Cup and Olympics also promise strong investments in infrastructure across the country, with host cities ranging from southerly Sao Paolo to booming Salvador in the rapidly-growing North East state of Bahia.
